Jerald Florence: You are leaving yourself wide open towards getting taken to the cleaners.Make your own desicions about specifications and price. If you leave it to a third party you willget sawn off at the head.
Ruby Martis: your better off buying it yourself and if your willing to do it yourself then go for it .. it isnt that hard to do but there are alot of audio shops that you can buy a stereo and get it installed some even do it fo rfree like circut city does if you buy a stereo that cost 100 or more but your better off getting it somewere else than the dealer they usually over charge you and most stereos are the same size single din some are double dins but eighter way its up to you wich kind you want and it dosent matter what size it is they sell alot of kits that are made sepecificly for your car to be able to fit a double din or a single din good luck and i hope this was helpful to you in some way oh yeah most audio shops charge around 30 to 60 dollars to in! stall a single din stereo into your car just make sure that you tell them you want a wiring harness so that they dont cut of the factory harness...Show more
Jackelyn Archut: Buy the car without stereo...then go to the Aftermarket Stereo place to buy the stereo, THEY will install it for free or a LOT LOT LESS than the dealer will. The dealer just wants your money, the aftermarket place ONLY does tunes, so thats all they know, and are experts on them too. They are all the same size, and there is NO reason the aftermarket stereo cannot be installed at the same time, THAT sounds like the dealer giving you a bunch of BULLThanks for telling us what kind of car it was, so we could help you out better....Show more
Sylvie Snetting: most stereos are what they call 'single din'. and if you dont know how to do it, then let the factory do it.never trust those car audio places. i've seen a few wire fires come from those guys
Lu Tiner: They are mostly a standard size. If ! you get an installation kit, you could do it your self, they a! re not that hard.
