Stanton Valdivia: Proof of round trip ticket means either an airline or train ticket in to and from the destination where you will be renting the car. Car rental companies do this for security purposes so this can be an issue, however I see that you are driving to the destination so you might want to get in touch with the actual rental location in North Carolina to discuss your options and/or contact other rental companies to see if they will accept other forms of id such as copies of recent utility bills, pay stub etc for security.
