So once you take that class and SUCCESSFULLY complete it, you will have 3 college credits. Credits are sometimes referred as hours. Just talk to the academic counselor at your school. They know how much credits a class is. For instance, a science class would generally be 3 credits. The lab would be 1 credit. I take Anatomy and Physiology and that's 3 credits. I also take the lab.
