whats the difference of interior design/interior decorating?

Mitzie Clough: Interior design is when you/designer designs inside of your home like what size will each room would be, the lay out of the inside of the home. Where would like kitchen to be, living room, bedrooms and bath(s). What materials to use. Interior decorating is when someone comes in and helps/suggests paint colors or what you want on your walls, windows, decorations that you may want put up on your walls, where furniture is placed, what type of flooring you want in each room. Also will suggest what type of shower/tubs/sinks you would like and what color tiles you might want to use. In other words they're there to give you suggestions for each room of your home.
