LCD Television noise issues?

Foster Koopmann: try a software update. (http://eservice.sony.com/webrma/web/index.do) sony fixed some sony issues with a software update. if the sound is loud then get it looked at. if it is little noises then try to ignore it

Sonya Volcko: are all the sounds normal? Including when the TV is off but still plugged in?How come some TVs don't make these noises?BTW I don't think I should have to update my software for an 8 month old TV...

Travis Colomb: Completely normal, this question comes up all the time..The sound is due to thermal induced mechanical expansion and contraction of the cabinet and display panel. When you turn the TV's on they heat up, when you turn them off they cool down even know there plugged in. Rest assured that those sounds are normal and does not constitute a problem with your LCD television's.. Don't need to update your software it has nothing to do with it, don't waste money on a service call either.. They will tell you the same thin! g expansion and contraction noise, its nothing more than that....Show more
